YI CHEN
CEO & Executive Director

Yi Chen has over 10 years of experience within the financial industry along with an extensive background in managing equity portfolios.
Prior to founding StarisLand Global Investors, Yi Chen was an Investment Manager based in Hong Kong at Capital Group Companies Inc. As an Investment Manager, he was licensed with the Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) in Hong Kong as a Licensed Representative (“LR”) to conduct Type 9 (Asset Management) regulated activity (“RA”) and was responsible for broadly investing in companies in the Asia Pacific region and participated in managing multiple Capital Group Global Equity Funds.

Before joining Capital Group Companies Inc., Yi Chen worked at Citigroup Asset Management Japan as an Equity Research Analyst and managed Japanese equity portfolios based on Citigroup’s global investment approach.

Yi Chen graduated from the Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan with Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
DANNY MI
Analyst & Portfolio Manager

Danny has more than 8 years of investment experience as a global equity analyst dedicated in investing in new economy companies.
​
Prior to joining StarisLand Global Investors, Danny was an investment analyst at Natixis Investment Managers. In this role, he was responsible for analysing high quality growth companies in Asia Pacific Region.
​
Prior to joining at Natixis Investment Managers, Danny was a research analyst and portfolio manager, managing Asia Value equity fund, in a boutique financial advisory firm as well as in a well-known family office in Singapore.
​
Danny graduated from the National University of Singapore with a first class honours degree in quantitative finance. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
